Healing begins the moment you feel heard.
You are not your struggles. You are the strength that continues despite them.
About Me
Hello! My name is Kelly McCaughey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy to individuals ages 10 and up in Pennsylvania. I take a trauma-informed, client-centered, and affirming approach to therapy, with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and identity-related stressors. I have a particular focus on working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals.
My work is grounded in creating a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to show up as their full selves. I am sex-positive and kink-affirming, and I approach conversations around relationships, identity, and sexuality with openness, respect, and care.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside trauma-informed and strengths-based interventions, to help clients better understand patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior while developing practical coping skills. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs, pace, and goals, with an emphasis on building insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
Why “Golden Grove?”
The name Golden Grove reflects themes of growth, resilience, and connection. Trees symbolize stability, renewal, and the ability to grow through changing seasons - values that align closely with the therapeutic process. The name is also a quiet nod to my Golden Retriever, Peach, who brings daily joy, grounding, and a sense of purpose to my life. Together, Golden Grove represents a space for growth, support, and meaningful change.
Mission Statement
My mission as a clinician is to offer compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based therapy in a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. I strive to provide trauma-informed, client-centered care that honors each person’s lived experience and supports growth at an individual pace.
I am dedicated to helping clients build understanding, resilience, and practical tools for change, while contributing to a broader effort to reduce stigma and expand access to mental health care.
